Omar

With over 5 years of hands-on experience in personal training and a lifelong passion for health and fitness, Omar Torrez brings a dynamic, results-driven approach to helping busy parents and professionals reclaim their health and strength. As an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Omar’s expertise spans multiple specialties, including:

• Fitness Nutrition Specialist

• Orthopedic Exercise Specialist

• Sports Performance Specialist

• Corrective Exercise Specialist

• Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach

Omar’s unique background as an Air Force Veteran and former professional bull rider instilled in him the discipline, resilience, and grit he now passes on to his clients. Married with three kids, Omar understands firsthand the demands of family life and career, and he’s passionate about making fitness achievable for busy parents and individuals juggling packed schedules.

In addition to training, Omar is the co-host of the Cheers 2 Health podcast, where he shares expert insights on fitness, wellness, and lifestyle strategies to inspire listeners to lead healthier, stronger lives.

Omar’s mission is simple: help people start or continue their health and fitness journey with realistic, sustainable strategies. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, build strength, improve athletic performance, or enhance mobility and recovery, he offers personalized programs that fit into your lifestyle—not the other way around.

Currently working toward his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Omar stays at the forefront of exercise science, injury prevention, and rehabilitative fitness. His training philosophy is built on a foundation of functional strength, nutritional guidance, and corrective exercise, ensuring every client receives a well-rounded, evidence-based program tailored to their unique goals.

I’m Elijah Maldonado, and fitness has completely transformed my life. Growing up, I played high school football, and that’s where I first discovered the power of strength training. It wasn’t just about building muscle — it was about building confidence, resilience, and a healthier future.

But my journey didn’t stop there. In 2019, I weighed 245 pounds. Through a long, challenging journey filled with major lifestyle changes, great mentorship, and a lot of personal growth, I worked my way down to a healthy 160 pounds. Today, I can proudly say I’m comfortable in my own skin — and now my mission is to help others feel the same way.

As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with CPR/AED and First Aid Certification, my goal is to build self-efficacy in every client — giving you the tools, knowledge, and confidence to manage your fitness journey and create lasting change. I believe that fitness is not just about looking good — it’s about making daily life easier, healthier, and more fulfilling. It’s also about paving the way for future generations to grow up strong, confident, and comfortable in their own skin.
